Clubhouse Book Club at a Glance
Grades 3–6 • Four weekly sessions • 75–90 minutes per session • Up to 20 readers • $700 program fee
Includes guided book discussions, creative materials, hands-on projects, reading trackers, Clubhouse materials and a final book club celebration.
How does the book club work?
Each series centers around one featured chapter book. Readers complete assigned reading between meetings, then come together to talk about the story, characters and themes before creating a hands-on project inspired by what they’ve read.
Do participants need to finish the entire book before the first meeting?
No. Reading is divided throughout the four-week series. We’ll provide the reading schedule so everyone knows what to read before each meeting.
Are books included?
Books are not included in the program fee.
Host organizations may provide copies from their collection, book-club sets or another source so each participant has access to the featured title.
What if a reader falls behind?
That’s okay! The Clubhouse is designed to encourage reading, not make it feel like homework.
Discussions and activities help readers stay connected to the story while encouraging them to keep going.
Do participants need to be strong readers?
No. Readers with different experience and confidence levels are welcome.
Participants should be comfortable engaging with the selected chapter book at their own pace.
Is this an official Baby-Sitters Club program?
No. The Clubhouse Book Club is an independent Pupurishu Studios literacy and creative program.
Featured books are used as the inspiration for discussion and original creative activities.
